From one kitchen table to another: the story of Sophia's ceramics

Sophia’s ceramics began as a kitchen table passion project, painting plates as gifts for family and friends. The response to her first series, featuring charming depictions of birds and beasts, was so overwhelmingly positive that weekend painting sessions quickly evolved into a full-time endeavour. What started as a personal creative outlet has grown into a beloved collection of plates, bowls, mugs and jugs that now fill kitchen cupboards around the world.

Growing up in a European family, Sophia was surrounded by the warmth and bustle of the kitchen – the true heart of her home. The joy of gathering loved ones around a delicious meal has always been a constant inspiration for her work. This sense of togetherness and the simple pleasure of sharing food are at the core of every piece she creates. Whether it's her distinctively vibrant aquatic bowls or her eclectic blue Granada plates, Sophia’s ceramics are designed to be a beautiful excuse to lay the table, whip up some good food, and create memories with those who matter most.

Thanks to word of mouth and a growing demand for bespoke orders, Sophia’s designs have flourished. Today, her work is available both online and by commission, allowing customers to bring a piece of Sophia's kitchen into their own homes.

Each hand-made piece is a testament to the love, care, and joy that Sophia pours into her work, making every meal a little more special, and every gathering a little more memorable.
